LNG is a cheaper and cleaner alternative to diesel.
Depending on the engine, those running on LNG produce between 8 – 25% less Green House Gas Emissions than those fuelled by unleaded petrol or diesel.
Australia also has an abundant supply of natural gas, estimated to be the equal to 184 years of supply.
Increasing the use of LNG domestically, as an alternative to imported oil, will help improve Australia’s fuel security.
It is also a cost effective fuel for transportation over long distances, as natural gas is 600 times denser in liquid form.
