This submission, Gas Energy Australia supports the Discussion Paper’s option to increase the mass limits of buses with two single axles from 16 tonnes to 18 tonnes; suggests the mass limits be further increased by 1,000kg to accommodate the additional weight associated with the use of gaseous fuel technologies; and accommodates the additional weight associated with the use of gaseous fuel technologies and encouraging increased take-up of gas-powered buses would offer a number of benefits to the community compared to diesel-powered buses.
