GEA has been constantly monitoring the growing spread and impact of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in Australia. As a result of the latest developments and advice, the GEA Board of Directors has decided to postpone the GEA 2020 National Forum to May 2021 given the risks and uncertainty of attempting to hold it sooner.
GEA sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused to speakers, delegates and sponsors affected by this postponement. That said, our first priority is the safety of delegates, speakers, GEA members, our staff and the local community and we consider postponement to be in the best interests of all involved.
We are also very mindful of the effect the COVID-19 situation is having on many of our members, associates and stakeholders, especially in relation to travel and operational continuity. As such, the postponement will reduce the risk of disruptions to the operations of our member companies which could prevent deliveries to their customers, including the many Australian families and businesses that depend on gas fuels.
Delegates, sponsors and trade table holders will have the option of requesting a refund or putting monies already paid towards the 2021 National Forum. We will also provide more details about the 2021 Forum when they are finalised.
Thank you for your understanding.
