Gas Energy Australia provides support to Members and Associates in the area of Training and Licensing through the Advisory Council Working Group Training and Licensing and the National Personal Certification Scheme.

Advisory Council Working Group Training and Licensing

(formerly Advisory Council Working Group Personal Certification Program)

The Advisory Council Working Group Training and Licensing, formerly the Advisory Council Working Group Personal Certification Program was responsible for providing advice to Gas Energy Australia on the design, development and implementation of the LPG Australia National Personnel Certification Scheme (NPCS) Program.

With the completion of NPCS and a significant area of activity emerging in the area of national occupational licensing and industry skills councils the Working Group is transitioning to a Working Group with a much broader focus.  The expanded scope is to provide support, guidance, and industry positioning of training and licensing delivering harmonisation and consistency across the gaseous fuels industry workforce.

National Personal Certification Scheme

The Gas Energy Australia National Personnel Certification Scheme provides formal industry-wide recognition of workplace practices that have been determined through an industry consultation process. The aim being to provide increased confidence and assurance to the LPG industry and community that personnel certified against the criteria of the Scheme have demonstrated specific knowledge, skills, personal attributes and qualifications in select employment codes
